In a year that has tested the very essence of Jewish resilience, Limmud proudly returns to Johannesburg, providing the Jewish community with a safe and inclusive space to learn, connect, and grow, both as individuals and as a community. From Friday 15 to Sunday 17 August, hundreds of Jews from all walks of life will gather at Limmud for a fully immersive, multidimensional experience, where they will get to embrace their love of learning, diversity, questions, stories, each other, and more.
More. And more. And more!
Limmud 2025 brings you more than 25 international presenters and more than 70 of South Africa’s finest minds exploring everything from arts and culture; to Israel and politics; Torah, identity; well-being; social impact; Jewish travel; and more.
Whether you’re steeped in Jewish learning or haven’t opened a Tanach since school or ever; whether you’re a long-time Limmudnik or a newbie, Limmud will meet you where you are … and take you one step further on your Jewish journey.
So where will your Limmud journey take you this time? Perhaps you will voyage from the mysticism of Kabbalah to the bold frontiers of Jewish ethics in technology. You might choose to participate in a session with a Holocaust scholar followed by an immersive sound journey. You may want to sing with poets; debate journalists; share stories with new friends; and laugh with Jewish comedians.
Whatever you choose this Limmud, expect to be challenged, inspired, and uplifted. Expect to experience at least a touch of FOMO (or maybe a lot) with more choice on offer than you could imagine.
