UJW vows: No child should go to school barefoot

In a media release, the UJW said King David Primary School, Sandton, collected over R13 000,00 for this project, and at their assembly last week 250 pairs of school shoes and socks were handed out to Mayibuye Primary School, which is a school supported by KDPS Sandton as part of their outreach programme.

A group of schoolchildren and two teachers from Mayibuye School attended the assembly, where a prefect from Mayibuye thanked the King David pupils for their generosity.

A further 1 250 pairs of school shoes and socks will be distributed to schools in Soweto, Krugersdorp, Roodepoort and Tembisa within the next few weeks, the release says.
